SINGLE-STAGE IMPLANTATION

What is it?

Single-stage implantation is an advanced dental procedure that allows for the extraction of a damaged tooth and the immediate placement of an implant in a single visit. This method reduces the number of surgical procedures and eliminates the need for gum incisions, offering a minimally invasive approach that saves time and reduces postoperative discomfort.

When is it necessary?

This method is ideal when one or more teeth are irreparably damaged due to trauma. The implant is inserted into the empty tooth socket, resulting in minimal healing time—permanent dental prostheses are typically placed after 2–3 months. If necessary, a temporary dental crown can be attached immediately, eliminating concerns about the appearance after tooth extraction, especially when front teeth are involved.

Procedure Steps:

  • Examinations and Consultation: A computed tomography scan is performed, followed by a consultation with the implanting dentist to assess the patient’s overall oral health, discuss expectations, and determine possibilities.
  • Treatment Planning: A visit schedule is provided, outlining the treatment process, duration, and a detailed cost estimate.
  • Surgical Operation: During a single visit, the damaged tooth is extracted, and an implant is immediately inserted into its root area. This quick and painless procedure is performed under local anesthesia (sedation is available if needed). If necessary, a temporary dental crown is placed on the implant during the same visit.
  • Prosthetics: After 2–3 months, once the implant has integrated, a permanent dental crown is attached.
